Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis

BIA measures body composition using a low-frequency electrical current flow throughout the body.

What is Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA)?

BIA is a non-invasive body analysis test where safe, low-level currents are sent throughout your body through foot and hand electrodes.

We provide results that identify lean mass and fat mass in each body segment. These results are effective in formulating an appropriate diet and exercise plan.

What can I expect during the BIA test?

Subjects can either stand or sit for this test. They will have to be in the position that they are being tested in for about 10 minutes. Electrodes will be clipped around their ankles and their thumbs/middle fingers. The actual measurement takes about one minute. After the test, you will receive a report like the one below.
